How would one install hidden spy cameras in your home?

By definition you can't detect them, or at least not without sophisticated electronic devices; and then only if the camera's output is transmitted wirelessly or the device is otherwise emitting detectable electromagnetic radiation.

That's the point of them.

There are devices supposedly able to detect roadside speed-cameras but it's easier, more reliable and safer to stick to the speed-limit!
