How do species get on the endangered list?

people hunt them too much, we destroy their homes, we give money to companies who claim they are doing good when they are also destroying some animals' homes.

Sometimes though, species may become threatened also by actions of the natural world. There were no humans to pressure the dinosaurs, or mammoths, etc, later on in geologic time. Extinction is a natural process, it happens all the time. 99% of all species that ever existed have gone extinct for one reason or another.
