What is the conflict of Black Beauty?

There really isn't a conflict. It's just this handsome black horse that runs into very few advantages and alot of disadvantages in his life. The book was published to show others how much horses are mistreated and slaughtered because they cannot carry heavy loads of food, tools, etc. Black Beauty is constantly bought and sold to be used as a cab horse to hold people not willing to walk. It's just a depressing story but it has a nice ending. (:
