St Patrick is the Patron saint of Ireland , he brought Christianity to Ireland using the shamrock to explain the HOLY TRINITY ie three beings in one ,he used the three leaves on the shamrock to explain this hence we got our Eblem ,

There are many ideas where he came from but he was sent back by room to convert the then Pagan country
