What are some good conversation topics to cover when your trying to get to know someone on a deeper level?

Please excuse my answering things with opinions, but to get to know someone on a deeper level, I try to pay attention to little things.

First off, spending time with each other is very important, needless to say.

I ask several seemingly worthless and unusual questions to get to know my subjects better, as well as more important questions. That way, you thoroughly explore that person on all dimensions.

What is your favorite soda?

Do you like chocolate?

Do you have (or have you had) any pets?

(Have you ever been skinny dipping?

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

Do you have any siblings?

Do you sleep with your door closed? Why or why not?

Do you have any unusual tendancies?

Be sure that you answer your questions too, so that way the other person can get to know you as well; this creates trust!

Also, playing stupid high-school games can also be rediculously fun and informative on both ends. Like Would You Rather.
