How do you beat second boss in mini ninjas?

Hit him with the flying swallow technique. Only do it once, and when you land hit him with a few slashes then jump out of the way before he can grab you. Repeat this and it should work out well on Mentor, Warrior, and Acolyte. Haven't fought him on Master, yet.
