Which lubricant should be used when connecting the parts of an oxy fuel gas welder?

No petroleum based lubricants of any kind should be used on oxygen acetylene equipment. Using them can cause unexpected flash fires even if the equipment is not ready for use. If you need to lubricate threads on gauges or torch connections, use liquid soap.
