In regards to Au Pairs: There are "cluster meetings" held once a month for au pairs that are in the United States on one of the 12 State Department sponsored au pair agencies.

These meetings are mandatory and provide an au pair with an opportunity to make friends, ask questions and be updated on program information. They also provide the au pair with a social outlet.
