A:
Mother Teresa did not have any medical training, nor did most of the sisters and volunteers at the Missions of Charity, so she would not have been able to recognise most of the various illnesses among the inmates of her hospices for the dying destitute. They would have included cancer and other diseases that almost inevitably bring about death. They also included diseases that could easily have been cured if diagnosed correctly, but these inmates generally died from infections in the hospices or from lack of treatment for their condition.
Catholic Answer:
Mother Teresa witnessed almost every disease and disorder known to man. However, she adamantly declared on numerous occasions that she was running a hospice for the dying and not a medical facility. For the vast majority of those brought to her hospices, this was the only treatment available to them as the strict Caste System of India prevented them from obtaining medical treatment elsewhere.
