Tuberculosis (TB) is primarily transmitted through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes, releasing bacteria into the environment. While it is theoretically possible for TB bacteria to be present in saliva, the risk of transmission through sharing drinks is extremely low. The main mode of transmission remains respiratory, and close, prolonged contact with an infected individual is typically necessary for infection to occur. Therefore, drinking after someone with TB is not considered a significant risk for transmission.
