Where is the starter located on 02 Mitsubishi Galant?

The starter on a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant is located on the passenger side of the engine bay, near the bottom of the engine block. It is mounted to the transmission bell housing and can be accessed from underneath the vehicle. You may need to remove some components, such as the air intake or heat shield, to reach it more easily.
