How old is feudal oak furniture?

The Jamestown Lounge Company in Jamestown, NY started in the late 1880's making sofas. Later, the company added headboards, chairs, dining room tables, sideboards, end tables, dressers and coffee tables, as well as decorative pieces. By the 1930's through the 1960's the company used several finishes on the oak pieces, but the feudal oak stain was their signature finish. The company was sold and the new owners were unsuccessful, so the company went into bankruptcy in the early 1980's.
