How do you get through the sky pillar?

It's simple; just get the Mach Bike. With it, you can get up enough speed to pass over the blocks that crack when you step on them, so you can go straight up and face Rayquaza. Take some Repels though, the process is difficult so you'll run into some pretty difficult wild pokémon at about level 45-50.
