What is par 38 mean?

Par 38 is the regulation amount of shots for most likely nine holes of Golf. It comprises any combination par 3's, 4's and 5's which add up to 38. This could be 3 par 5's, 5 par 4's and a par 3. Or it could be 7 par 4's and 2 par 5's.
