What makes marigold color?

Marigold can be a wide range of shades. Just look at the flower and you'll see that the colors range from a rust brown to golden yellow. Yellow and red will make your basic orange and you can darken with a touch of blue or lighten with more yellow. You more than likely will have to make a few mixtures to get the shade that you want.
