A career in Interior Design can be explored after XII (any stream), as a two to three year diploma course in interior years of diploma. Many part time and one year diploma courses are also available. Some private institutes, too, offer certifications in interior designing. The 4 years Bachelor of fine Arts (BFA) programme offersspecialization in Interior Design. Class XII (PCM) is required for a five year course in Interior Design at CEPT, Ahmedabad only. Entry isthrough an admission test. This is the only 5-year professional course in interior design in India. Aspirants need to have qualified their 10+2 examination, with an average of 55% in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology.
