Can poverty cause children to be at risk of being obese and how?

Yes. It is possible for poverty to cause children to be obese for two reasons. One, sometimes in poverty alot of people just look for the cheapest thing to eat and in many cases it will be fast food (McDonalds, Wendys etc.). Another reason is that when growing chldren don't get the vitamins they need it can cause their stomach to swell, causing them to appear 'obese'.
