Vermicomposting or worm composting is a process that uses compost worms to recycle organic waste products into a nutrient rich soil conditioner known as worm castings.

This process happens usually in worm bins and the worms are commonly fed with kitchen- and garden scraps.

As a basic rule compost worms will eat anything that has ever been alive and is now dead! There are however some organic waste products that are potentially harmful to worms.
