Can you get cancer form wearing makeup?

It depends on the nail polish. There are three chemicals nicknamed the "Big 3"--formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate. Formaldehyde causes cancer. Toluene causes nervous system damage, and dibutyl phthalate interferes with your hormone system. Those three chemicals are not used to make nail polish anymore, but you may have some made when they were. If you see "Big 3 Free" on polish, the polish was made without them.
