How do you connect a portable CD player with only a headphone out to a public address amplifier?

Get an 1/8"x1/8" cord (like to hook up an mp3 to a radio or aux) and a 1/4" adapter. Plug the small end in the cd player and the other side into the adapter which will plug into the pa system. Or, if the pa has stereo jacks you can get a cord that's 1/8" on one end and red/white patch on the other end.
