If you are old enough to move in with your boyfriend you are mature enough to be an adult and tell them honestly how you feel. Tell them all about him, get them to know him and trust him. Make them a part of it. show them where you will be living and accept them wanting to help by doing the curtains or fixing the shower. Then they will not feel you are deserting them. Assure them that you will visit often and make each other meals. ============================================ It is difficult to answer without knowing your and your boyfriend's ages and levels of maturity, but I generally agree with the above. The most important thing is for you and your boyfriend to have a plan as to how you will spend the rest of your lives together, whether and when you will start a family (or prevent yourselves from doing so), buy a house, save for your children's education and save for your retirement. What careers do each of you plan to have? What are your present and potential earnings? One of the most important parts of a plan is a budget. How much will you spend? How much will you save? How much will you put aside for vacations, Christmas, and other special events? Which one of you will handle what aspects of the money? Why do you want to move in with your boyfriend? If it's just for lots of sex, you're better off getting a motel room. Make sure both of you have a detailed lifetime plan before you make the leap. The worst thing would be to find that there are now three of you and the relationship is falling apart. Go away together for weekends, practise Birth Control, and really get to know one another well. A lifetime relationship is a lot more about putting out the garbage, cutting the grass, doing the laundry and washing the dishes than it is about sex.
