Is it dangerous to swallow purell?

Yes. Purell(R) does contain ethyl alcohol at about 130 proof, but it also contains isopropyl alcohol and propylene glycol, which causes liver damage. It would get you drunk, but it would also make you very ill, and it could cause long-term injury.
