Did Sarah palin run for president?

Its highley likely that she has passed off the 2012 election because even she thinks Obama cant lose, but if she doesnt run in 2016 she will lose some of her support. She'll definatly run for president in 2016, and might even win the republican nomination, but she wont win the presidency. Even americans arent THAT stupid.
