How can you load applications on a 1st generation 8gb ipod touch?

You can either download the applications via the App Store via Wi-Fi connection, wirelessly downloading them to your iPod from the internet, or you can plug in your iPod to your computer, drag apps from the app store you paid for (or got for free) onto the iPod drive in iTunes, and wait for the transfer to be complete.
