When did warehouse start?

The concept of warehouses dates back to ancient times, with evidence of storage facilities used by the Mesopotamians around 3000 BC. However, the modern warehouse as we know it began to take shape during the Industrial Revolution in the 18th and 19th centuries, when mass production and distribution increased the need for storage and logistics. The development of railroads and later, motor transport further transformed warehousing into a key component of supply chain management.
