How do male fish fertilize the eggs?

Sharks are a sexual species and mate, usually face to face, and sperm is delivered to the female shark's eggs during intercourse. The male shark has an adapted set of pelvic fins called "claspers". These are used to transfer the sperm to the female and fertilize her eggs. Many sharks give birth to living young, while some release their eggs to hatch when ready.
