Will a sand wasp sting a human?

Sand wasps are not aggressive insects in comparison to other wasps. If a human were to approach a sand wasp or their underground nests they will not try to attack.

However, sand wasps do have stingers and would probably use them on humans if provoked of if they felt threatened.
