Do they do a burial on the same day as the funeral?

In numerous religions the sooner you bury the dead, the higher they are honoured. Typically, in Islam and Judaism, people are buried within 24 hours or less, provided the essential documents can be obtained.

In a Christian funeral, there would be no canonical reason why you could not arrange a burial within 24 hours. However, the reality of finding a minister who's prepared to visi the family, arrange any music, the order of service, etc., and write a homily might prove challenging.
