Does air temperature affect the intensity of an earthquake?

well if one day it is extremely hot then suddenly overnight it dropps dramaticly to extremely cold im sure it could cause an earthquake but it isn't scientific i don't think - it would seem as when the earth heats up or cools then it colls or heats it would expand or unexpand causing the earthquake but only if there is already pressure in the fault line it would just speed up the date of an earthquake - don't freak out if you think your expecting one btw.
