What advantages of being a god given Cortes?

You get treated very well!! Except Cortes did not like human blood ritually sprinkled on his food..

He used the Aztecs' worship of him to destroy their civilization--He didn't seem cool to me.

I don't think the Aztecs missed the human sacrifices when they were forced to stop them...
