Why do people leave doors drawers open?

This is a somewhat common problem typically reported by wives about their husbands. Although studies have not concluded this is necassarily tied to males only, some experts associate this behavior with individuals who have difficulties in bringing closure to problems or situations in life in general. There is subconscious thought that "I may be going back to that drawer or cabinet later for something, so I'll leave it open for the time being." People that exhibit this behavior often times have the intention of closing the "door" or matter/issue, but never get around to actually doing it.
