Certain information is needed in a letter about an emergency leave. You would have to state what the emergency is, and how much time you will need to be away in order to deal with it. Depending upon exactly what job or obligations you are leaving, you might want to suggest a replacement for you, while you are away (e.g., Fred can fill in for me while I am away).
