Why do men want to get dominated by women?

Not all men want to be dominated by women, but those that do may just want to keep the peace and it is easier for them to let the woman dominate. Some men with domineering women do so because she takes over most of the responsibilities and he likes it that way. Other men may have been dominated by their mothers or female siblings.

Of the men who like domineering women, the reasons vary. It could be the notion that it is taboo. Or it could go back to their upbringing. Sometimes men who have had a domineering mother and resented it while growing up. They may have fought it in their lives and vowed not to be with a woman like that. But as they resist, they find they crave it more. A number of fetishes work that way.

"Imposter syndrome" is another cause for fetishes and BDSM. Someone may feel they had it too easy in life. They don't feel their achievements are their own. Then they feel guilty and need someone to bring them down a peg to punish them for their advantages in life. So that can tie in with this as well, when such a successful man wants a mother figure to humble them.
