The processing time for Redken Color Gels varies by developer volumes, levels of lift, and hair texture, porosity and gray coverage.

The following are some general guidelines:

10V, lifting 1 level: process 20 mins.

20V, lifting 2 levels: process 30 mins.

30V, lifting 3 levels: process 40 mins.

40V, lifting 3+ levels: process 45 mins.

All are at room temperature. Adding heat to speed up the processing time is not recommended.
