The real name of Gaddafi is Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi. He was the leader of Libya from 1969 until his overthrow and death in 2011. Gaddafi was known for his controversial and authoritarian rule, as well as his unique political ideology, which he outlined in his Green Book.
