Who found the city of Cleveland?

Cleveland was founded by General Moses Cleaveland in 1796. He led a surveying party for the Connecticut Land Company to lay out the city on the shores of Lake Erie. The city was named after him, although the spelling was later shortened to "Cleveland." Over the years, it grew into a significant industrial and cultural hub in the region.
