When did JC Higgins stop producing?

Well, J.C. Higgins really didn't produce anything. It was a brand name that Sears used on various sporting goods, much like how Craftsman is used for tools. The J.C. Higgins brand was used from 1908 to 1961. The brand was replaced with the Ted Williams brand.
