How can you make your 11 year old take a shower everyday?

After a shower, make him or her smell the clothes they were wearing before they got in the shower, and then let him or her know that other people can smell THOSE odors when he or she has not showered. Make sure he or she understands that when people are dirty, their perception of how they smell is incorrect because people can adjust to bad smells very easily.

Also let him or her know that dangerous bacteria and fungi like to invade and infect dirty skin, which is often very itchy, painful, and miserable.
