For the most part, today's integrated circuits will start to exhibit significant issues when their internal temperature rises about 80 degrees Centigrade, or if they are subjected to freezing temperatures below -15 C.

However, the exact thermal profile is highly dependent on the specific component. So much so, that the above generalization is likely only valid for today's Desktop systems.
