A tropical climate. Hot and wet. Such timber as Mahoganey and Teak are naturally grown in these climates.

The northern European climate grows both soft wood e.g, pine and hardwood, e,g, oak and beech.

Softwood is grown in the northern forests of Canada, and Russia.
