What created Niagara Falls?

Well, the Niagara Escarpment also has something to do with it too. Its a long tall ridge-line separating Lake Ontario and Lake Eire. It was formed due to unequal erosion. The Niagara River flows between the lakes and goes over the edge of the cliff.
