In what countries are gay people accepted?

Many different countries are accepting of homosexual behavior/relationships, but there are many that shun it. Typically, a lot of countries in Europe, North and South America, and parts of Asia are more or less accepting of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders. In some Asian coutries such as Thailand, homosexuality is accepted by most of the population and is acknowledged as another gender in some cultures. The level of acceptance varies from one culture to another however. Third world countries that have less exposure to the world and it's vague society are a little less accepting, though there are some that do accept it, regardless of their traditional customs or their beliefs.
