What are elephants like?

Elephants have a number of characteristics which would include: they are very large herbivorous quadrupeds with very little hair except for their tails, and thick gray skin, large ears, and prehensile trunks; male elephants grow tusks made of ivory, which is a valuable commodity, for which they are often killed by hunters, legally or illegally.
