How do you tell your friend happy birthday today is her mothers funeral?

I think being her own mother, they should set it for the day before or after her bday NOT on her bday, that's just going to stick with her for the rest of her life! It's sad enough to lose your mother and forever think of it... your bday isn't the day you really want to do that. :(
