Why is the gas not going in the prime bulb of a Craftsman 25cc Gasoline Weedwacker?

If the bulb is cracked or the line going to it is it will not work, also make sure the hose going to it is submerged in the fuel.

another possibility is that the vent hose is plugged and the tank has too much vacuum pressure to allow the fuel to be sucked up.
