Does bullying happen a lot in middle school?

I'd have to say YES, only because it is well known that kids are just brutally honest and can really be relentless in the attack on others.

Kid's just don't understand empathy very well yet nor understand consequences to their actions.

An interesting side note though is, when I went to jail for the first time, I felt like I was right back in junior high because there is mad a55 bullying that happens in there as well. Inmates and correctional officers alike partake in the bullying. But unlike with schools, some would call it more well deserved because you did something unlawful to go there.
