How do you install a full flow oil filtering system on an air cooled vw engine?

First you need an adapter plate for your oil pump that gives you an external oil flow. You need to plug the internal oil output, directing the oil pressure out of the plate. Bore and tap the top freeze plug to the left of the pulley. Run an oil line from the oil pump to an external filter and back to the newly created port. The whole thing takes 2-3 hours and about $75 in parts.
