In 1866, work on the Collins Telegraph Line ceased, and supplies were stored at Fort Ware, which is located near the confluence of the Peace and Finlay Rivers in British Columbia, Canada. This site was initially established as a supply depot for the telegraph line project. The line was intended to connect British Columbia to the rest of Canada but ultimately faced numerous challenges, leading to its discontinuation.
