IS PLAYING

For some people, yes it is. I don't give very scientific answers, for anything. But, when I was younger, I loved to paint with my siblings when our mother told us to go play. Unless you are talking about professional painting. That on the other hand is not playing. You may have fun, but you need to be serious. That is a career or job. So in conclusion, yes painting is playing, and no painting is not playing.
