- The White triangle - means equality and fraternity
- The Color blue - indicate peace, truth, and justice
- The red one - symbolizes love and devotion of the country and valor
- The eight primary rays of the sun - are the eight provinces who initially fought for independence (Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna, and Batangas)
- The three stars - are the three biggest geographical division of the country (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao)
